Murphy Suffers Ankle Injury

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Notre Dame freshman forward Troy Murphy sprained his left ankle in practice Thursday afternoon and will miss the next two to five weeks of action. X-rays on Murphy’s ankle were performed on Friday and came back negative. Murphy will be reevaluated on Sunday when the Irish return from their game against Villanova, scheduled for Saturday at noon.

In addition, X-rays taken on Friday on freshman forward David Graves were negative, after he suffered a sprained shoulder in practice on Thursday. Graves is listed as probable for Saturday’s game in Philadelphia.
