NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Tickets went on sale today to the general public for potential 2001 NCAA women’s basketball tournament games next month at the University of Notre Dame’s Joyce Center.

If Notre Dame is selected as a host institution (as the Irish were in 2000 when they won their first two games on the Joyce Center floor), a first-round doubleheader will be played either Friday, March 16, or Saturday, March 17 — and a single, second-round game will be played either Sunday, March 18, or Monday, March 19.

First-round pairings and sites won’t be announced until the entire NCAA bracket is released on Sunday afternoon, March 11.

Tickets good for both sessions are $15 for adults and $10 for students and all youths 18 and under. All remaining tickets are in the bleachers. All seats are reserved seats. There is a $5 service charge on all mail and phone orders. Tickets are available over the counter at the Joyce Center ticket windows.

Individual game tickets will only be sold the day of the game — and there is a good chance none will be available, based on demand to date.

If Notre Dame does not host in the first and second rounds, all payments will be refunded.

Mail orders should go to University of Notre Dame, Ticket Office, 113 Joyce Center/Juniper Road, Notre Dame, Ind. 46656-5678. All checks should be made payable to University of Notre Dame.
