NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Notre Dame men’s tennis senior Captain Axel Nefve is off to Tulsa to compete in the ITA Men’s All-American Championships. Nefve begins the year with a preseason ITA ranking of #25 in the country and is a direct acceptance in the main draw.
Nefve will open up play on Wednesday with Mason Beiler of Oklahoma. That match is set to begin at 1 p.m. ET.
Nefve is coming off a junior year campaign full of notable achievements including a 15-match win-streak. He compiled an overall singles record of 19-5, an 11-1 record in the ACC and was named a 1st-Team All-Atlantic Coast Conference selection. Nefve competed in both the NCAA individual singles and doubles tournaments where he made it to the second round of each draw.
