Notre Dame, Ind. – Notre Dame head football coach Tyrone Willingham will be the guest conductor singing “Take Me Out To The Ballgame” during the seventh-inning stretch of Sunday’s Chicago Cubs game against the Houston Astros. The game, as well as Willingham singing the seventh-inning stretch, can be seen live on WGN-TV starting at 1:20 p.m. CDT.
This will be Willingham’s first effort at conducting the seventh-inning stretch for the Cubs as head football coach of the Irish. He joins a number of other Notre Dame coaches and alumni to serve as guest conductors for the Cubs including current men’s basketball head coach Mike Brey, former men’s basketball coach Digger Phelps and former Heisman Trophy winner Paul Hornung.
