Post-Game Notes
- Today marked the 100th meeting between Notre Dame and DePaul. The Fighting Irish are 56-44 all-time against the Blue Demons.
- Notre Dame has won 9-of-12 over DePaul since 2001. The Irish have won five straight over the Blue Demons.
- Luke Harangody notched his 61st career double-double with his 24 points and 11 rebounds on Saturday afternoon. It also marked his 10th double-double of the season.
- Luke Harangody’s 24 points signified the 15th time this season and the 61st time in his career that he has scored 20-plus points in a game.
- Luke Harangody passed Walter Sahm for second all-time in career rebounds at Notre Dame — he now has 1,147 career rebounds.
- Luke Harangody now has 609 career rebounds in BIG EAST play, which ties him for third place all-time with Danya Abrams of Boston College (1993-97).
- Luke Harangody has reached double-figures in points in 25 straight games.
- Ben Hansbrough’s three-pointer just over three minutes into the contest extended Notre Dame’s streak of consecutive games with a three-pointer to 359.
- Ben Hansbrough’s 10 rebounds surpassed his career-high of nine set against West Virginia on Jan. 9.
- Tim Abromaitis has hit at least one three-point field goal in his last 20 games. He matched his career-high with five three-point field goals against DePaul on Saturday.
- Tim Abromaitis reached the 30-point plateau for the second time in his career with 30 points on Saturday. It also established a BIG EAST career-high for the junior. His previous BIG EAST high was 26 against Syracuse on Monday.
- Notre Dame hit its first seven field goals of the game before missing a shot at the 15:30 mark of the first half.
- Tory Jackson started his 107th game on Saturday, which ties him with David Graves for sixth all-time in Notre Dame history.
- For the first time under Mike Brey, Notre Dame finished the first half without a turnover. It’s only the second time the Irish haven’t had a turnover in any half under Brey. The last turnover-free half for the Irish came on March 10, 2004 against West Virginia. With just two turnovers for the game it is the lowest under Brey for an entire game. Notre Dame didn’t commit its first turnover of the game until the 10:31 mark in the second half.
- Tyrone Nash had his ninth career double figure scoring night with 13 points. It was his eighth double-figure effort of the season. It also was his first career double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
- Notre Dame had three players with double-doubles (Luke Harangody, Tim Abromaitis and Tyrone Nash) it is the most since Feb. 9, 2002 when the Irish had four players with double-doubles against Georgetown.
- Tim Abatomaitis won the Wendell Smith Award given to the most outstanding player of the Notre Dame-DePaul game. It’s the fourth straight Notre Dame men’s basketball player to win the award.
