The University of Notre Dame rowing team took part in day one of the 2018 Natoma Invitational on Saturday, April 14. The Irish faced some of the top teams in the nation, including #2 California and #7 Stanford.
In the morning session, the Irish, who are receiving votes in the CRCA/USRowing Top 25, finished second in three of the four races in which they competed against second-ranked California. In the evening/afternoon session, the Irish again finished second in multiple races behind seventh-ranked Stanford.
The Second Varsity Four took part in a highly competitive Grand Final to cap the day on Saturday, finishing fourth but just three seconds behind Stanford and two seconds behind Brown.
Sunday, the Irish will be challenged on the course by Stanford, California and eighth-ranked Brown.
