NOTRE DAME, Ind. – A total of eight University of Notre Dame swimming and diving student-athletes have been named to the 2018 All-Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Academic Swimming and Diving Team.
Sophomores Abbie Dolan and Lauren Heller joined junior Sofia Revilak as Notre Dame representatives on the All-ACC Academic Women’s Swimming and Diving Team. Fifth-year senior Joe Coumos, senior Rob Whitacre, junior Steven Shek and sophomores Jack Montesi and Aaron Schultz rounded out the Notre Dame honorees on the All-ACC Academic Men’s Swimming and Diving Team.
Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team. The ACC Honor Roll, which recognizes all conference student-athletes with a grade point average of 3.0 for the current academic year, will be released in July.
Dolan was named to the All-ACC Academic Team for the second straight season since arriving at Notre Dame, while Coumos added all-academic honors in back-to-back seasons. Whitacre capped his standout Irish career as a three-time All-ACC Academic Team selection.
