Notre Dame Day to Begin on Sunday Night

April 19, 2018

Notre Dame, Ind. – The fifth annual Notre Dame Day is quickly approaching on Sunday, April 22, kicking off with the live broadcast at 6:42 p.m. ET on NotreDameDay.nd.edu. The 29-hour broadcast will showcase Notre Dame stories from around the world, as well as live interviews, special musical performances, in-studio performances and surprise celebrity guests.

During this time, the Notre Dame men’s golf team has the unique opportunity to raise funds for the program. In fact, starting today, Irish fans can make a simple $10 donation and receive five votes to cast to the program of their choosing. The total number of votes men’s golf receives decides the percentage divided up from the $1.1 million pot.

This year, the men’s golf program is very excited this year to be raising funds for the enhancement of its home tournament, the Fighting Irish Classic (October 7 – 8, 2018). The Irish have a tremendous opportunity this fall to compete against the likes of schools such as Illinois, North Carolina, Michigan and Michigan State on their home course at The Warren.

By elevating this event to a new standard of excellence, men’s golf hopes to continue drawing top-notch competition, showcasing the best of what the University has to offer, and providing its student-athletes a first-class home event.

Finally, don’t miss out on head coach John Handrigan, who will be a part of the live ND Day broadcast on Monday, April 23, at 12:39 pm ET, promoting the program at the Rolfs Family Golf Practice Facility.
