VERO BEACH, Fla. – The University of Note Dame men’s golf team will enter the final round of the Quail Valley Collegiate in sixth place after shooting a 287 (-1) on Monday, moving to three-under par overall for the tournament. Furthermore, the Irish are just five strokes away from moving up two spots into fourth place, where Michigan State sits at eight-under par.
Miguel Delgado shot a 69 (-3), which moved the senior into a tie for 11th place, six strokes behind the leader.
ROUND TWO
Delgado carded birdies on holes three, five and seven before a bogey on nine. The senior bounced back with birdies on 10 and 14, ultimately finishing the round at 3-under.
John Felitto shot a 70 (-2) for round two, with a bogey-free front-nine. All-in-all, Felitto posted four birdies on the day. The junior moved to 2-under par for the tournament, good for 14th place.
Lastly, Davis Chatfield and Andrew O’Leary each contributed to the team scoring today as well, as both recorded a 74 (+2).
