AUSTIN, Texas — The largest day of racing for the Irish at the 2019 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships saw an All-American finish, a finals qualifier and three others post strong races for the final time this season.

First up was senior Jessica Harris who earned a fifth-place finish in the women’s 1,500m. Her season-best semifinals time of 4:12.50 automatically qualified her for the championship heat on Saturday, June 8.

Summer Thorpe raced shortly after in the women’s 100m hurdles where she concluded her season with a final time of 13.51 seconds and 22nd overall.

The women’s 10K was the first finals to feature an Irish runner, boasting three as the nation’s top-ranked 10K squad teamed up in the championships. All three women came out firing in the race as Anna Rohrer took an early lead. The Texas heat beat down on the competitors with Jackie Gaughan having to drop out of the race part way through.

Rohrer raced to a sixth-place finish to earn All-American honors while her teammate, Maddy Denner, took 19th overall to conclude her freshman season.
