NOTRE DAME, Ind. — The No. 16/12 Notre Dame Swim and Dive Team begins its postseason campaign Wednesday at the ACC Championships for Diving & Women’s Swimming. The meet will last from Feb. 19-22, while the men will compete next week from Feb. 26-29.
The No. 12 Notre Dame women boast a 9-3 dual meet record for 2019-20. Four student-athletes on the women’s team (Abbie Dolan, Coleen Gillilan, Erin Isola and Kelly Straub) have earned ACC Performer of the Week honors this season, with Gillilan (Oct. 29, Jan. 14, Jan. 28) and Straub (Oct. 8, Jan. 21) receiving the honor multiple times. Diver Austin Flaute has also won the award once this season.
Gillilan took the collegiate swimming scene by storm, as the freshman set multiple Notre Dame records, both pool and program. Senior Dolan remains a key piece to the Irish attack, and takes on her final ACC meet having continued her sustained success. On the diving end, Straub, Isola and Flaute have each won 1-meter and 3-meter competitions at multiple points throughout the season.
