SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Notre Dame freshman Josh Brown qualified for the US Men’s Junior National Team over the weekend after competing at the Las Vegas Open Water Championships in Henderson, Nev.
Brown competed in the Men’s Senior 10k Elite Open Water Event and finished eighth with a time of 1:45:05.37. He was just one of two swimmers that finished in the top-eight that was under 20 years old. His time confirmed his spot on the Men’s Worlds Team and earned him a spot in the FINA Marathon Swim World Series. He will compete at the next Marathon Swim Series event on December 16 in Abu Dhabi.
