FOR STARTERS
- The Irish are set to play against Vanderbilt on Saturday, February 19 in Nashville, TN.
- The Irish open the season with five of six contests at home including Northwestern (Feb. 23), Syracuse (Feb. 26), and Virginia (March 6).
- Notre Dame is coming off a 2021 campaign in which it finished 11-7 and earned an NCAA Tournament berth.
THE NOTRE DAME – VANDERBILT SERIES
- The Irish and Commodores will be meeting for the 22nd this week at Vanderbilt.
- Vanderbilt holds a slight 11-10 advantage in the series but the Irish have won five consecutive meetings against the Commodores dating back to April 18, 2012.
- In their last meeting, Jackie Wolak earned a career-high three points in Saturday’s win (2G, 1A) and Madison Ahern matched her career-high with five points (G, 4A) and her four assists were a career-best.
- Notre Dame kept Vanderbilt off the board for the first 18:01 of play and the final 19:35 of play in the 2021 matchup.

Five Irish were named Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-Americans including Kasey Choma (Second Team), Madison Ahern (HM), Maddie Howe (HM), Jackie Wolak (HM), and Bridget Deehan (HM).

Kasey Choma was named to the USA Lacrosse Magazine Preseason All-American squad, and was also ranked among the top 50 lacrosse players in college checking in at #34.

Kasey Choma was tabbed 34th in the nation by Inside Lacrosse in December of 2021. In her career, she has played in 25 games, scoring 67 goals on 131 shots. She has picked up 29 ground balls, and 29 draw controls.
HOWE DOES SHE DO IT
- In the 2022 season opener against Central Michigan, Maddie Howe notched her 200th career point.
- In the matchup against the Chippewas Howe tallied four goals and one assist to propel her to the 200th point mark.
- She is currently seventh in program history with 204 career points..
