ATLANTA, Ga. — The University of Notre Dame men’s swimming and diving team closed out the 2022 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships at the McAuley Aquatic Center Saturday night. The men finished 33rd overall with five points over the course of the week.

In the morning session, Chris Guiliano had his final individual swim in the 100 freestyle prelims. He placed 35th overall with a time of 42.55. In the 200 breaststroke prelims, Josh Bottelberghe and Tyler Christianson competed in their final individual swims. Bottelberghe finished 22nd overall with a time of 1:53.32 while Christianson was disqualified.

The 400 freestyle relay was the final event of the championships for the Irish in the evening session of events. Guiliano, Cason Wilburn, Luke Uttley and Stephan Lukashev took to the pool one last time but were disqualified in the relay event.
