SOUTH BEND, IND. – On Thursday May 19, the NCAA announced the selections for the NCAA Track and Field East Regional. The Irish will be represented by 29 athletes in various events.
Dylan Jacobs is ranked seventh in the country in the 5000 meter race after his performance at the ACC Outdoor Championships with a time of 13.23.45. Jacobs is also ranked sixth in the 10000 meter race with a time of 28:01.94 at the Mt. Sac Relays.
Michael Shoaf is ranked 16th in the country in shot put with a toss of 19.80 meters at the ACC Outdoor Championships. Rachel Tanczos is ranked 21st in the country in the hammer throw with a toss of 65.87m at the ACC Outdoor Championships.
Olivia Markezich goes into regionals being ranked ninth in the 3000 meter steeplechase. She recorded a conference winning time of 9:45.31 at the ACC Outdoor Championships.
