BOSTON, Mass. – Three Fighting Irish track and field members traveled to the Boston University Colyear-Danville Season Opener on Saturday, December 3. Olivia Markezich, Katie Thronson, and Erin Strzelecki competed in the 3000m and the 5000m run.
Markezich competed in the 3000m and took second place in the run. She crossed the finish line at 8:50.48. This race established a new personal best in the indoor 3000m run for Markezich. Thronson also ran in the 3000m run and finished with a time of 9:10.70.
Strzelecki ran in the 5000m, crossing the finish line at 16:00.39. This is another personal best for the Irish on the day as Strzelecki finishes eighth in her heat.
