CLEMSON, S.C. – Headed down the final stretch of the season, the Notre Dame volleyball team pulled out a gritty five set win Friday night, 20-25, 25-21, 25-20, 16-25, 15-10. It’s the 10th win of the season for the Irish

Morgan Gaerte led the team with 33 kills on a ridiculous .314 hitting percentage, one off her career-high and program record 34 from earlier this season against Illinois. Gaerte is now just the second player in program history to have multiple games with 30+ kills (Christi Girton, 2000). The 33 kills are tied for the second-most in program history. Gaerte had seven kills in the fifth set alone to lead Notre Dame to the conference victory and had 36.0 points on the night.

Cailey Dockery and Lily Fenton were huge for the Irish, both posting double-doubles. Dockery led the team with a career-high 26 digs and added 11 assists, while Fenton led the team with 22 assists and had 12 digs defensively. It was the first-career double-doubles for both players.

Anna Bjork, Chichi Nnaji and Mae Kordas all tallied eight kills each. Notre Dame had 68 kills on the evening, a season-high for the squad.

The Irish continue their road trip on Sunday when Notre Dame faces Georgia Tech at 1:00 p.m. Sunday. The match will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra.
