No. 12 Notre Dame Travels For Two-ACC Match Weekend

NOTRE DAME, Ind. — Only a few weeks removed from the upcoming ACC Championship, the University of Notre Dame men’s tennis team travels east this weekend for two conferences matches. The 12th-ranked Irish play Wake Forest on Friday at 3 p.m. before heading to play North Carolina State on Sunday at noon.

“We are really excited about playing tow great opponents on the road this weekend,” says head coach Ryan Sachire. “Both Wake Forest and NC State are strong programs with really talented players, and we will obviously have to play well to win.”

No. 21 Wake Forest is 12-7 on the season (2-3 in the ACC). The Demon Deacons are currently on a three-match winning streak after beating Georgia Tech, Clemson and North Carolina Central. Notre Dame is 3-0 in the all-time series against Wake Forest.

NC State is also 12-7 on the season (1-5 ACC), ranking 42nd in the country. The team is coming off a loss to Clemson but a win over Georgia Tech last weekend. Notre Dame is 2-0 in the all-time series against NC State.
