SOUTH BEND, Ind. — No. 20 Notre Dame (8-2, 1-0) will play one final game before heading home for the holiday break, as the Irish host Bellarmine (2-10) on Sunday evening at Purcell Pavilion. Conor Clingen and Notre Dame men’s basketball alum Luke Zeller will have the call on ACCNX at 7 p.m.

NOTES

  • Notre Dame is coming off of a 78-65 victory at JMU on Sunday over the Sun Belt favorites. Cassandre Prosper paced the group with 24 points, while Malaya Cowles (17) and Hannah Hidalgo (13) also scored in double-figures. It was Hidalgo’s 77th time scoring 10+ points in as many tries, a new Notre Dame record for consecutive double-figure scoring games. The standard was previously held by Katryna Gaither.
  • Cowles is playing her best basketball of the season over the last few contests. In addition to the 17 points on Sunday, she had a team-high five steals. Over the last four games, the forward is averaging 12.3 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.
  • Prosper’s 24-point performance against the Dukes was her third consecutive game with 20+ points. She has four such performances this year after entering her senior season with just one in her career. As a result of her showings against JMU and Morehead State last week, Prosper was named one of five USBWA National Players of the Week.
  • Hidalgo leads the nation with 5.4 steals per game and ranks fourth with 24.6 points per game. She is leading the ACC in the latter category.
  • Prosper is the only played in the ACC averaging 15+ points per game while shooting 55 percent from the floor. She sits at 15.8 points and 57.8 field goal percentage, both career highs by a wide margin.
  • Sunday’s game will be the first ever meeting between Notre Dame and Bellarmine.
