SOUTH BEND, Ind. — After a scintillating victory over Southern Cal on Friday night, No. 24 Notre Dame (4-1) is back at home on Monday to host Central Michigan (4-1). The game will air on ACC Network at 9 p.m. Tiffany Greene and Carolyn Peck will be on the call from Purcell Pavilion.
NOTES
- The Irish topped the Trojans, 61-59, on a game-winning basket from Hannah Hidalgo and deflection off an in-bound pass from Cassandre Prosper. Hidalgo led all scorers with 22 points, Vanessa de Jesus had 13, and KK Bransford had 11, including nine in the final quarter.
- Notre Dame has recorded double-digit steals in every game this season, including 16 on Friday. Three of the top five steal-getters in the ACC are from Notre Dame — Hidalgo (first), Prosper (fourth), de Jesus (fifth).
- Hidalgo leads the nation in both points (27.4) and steals (6.2) per game.
- Notre Dame is now 10-2 all-time against Southern Cal. The Irish have won 18 consecutive regular season non-conference home games.
- The Chippewas are one of the nation’s best rebounding teams, leading the MAC with a 13.4 rebounding margin (22nd nationally).
- Notre Dame is 5-1 all-time against regional foe Central Michigan, including a 3-1 record at home. The teams last played in 2016, and it was a 107-47 win for the Irish.
