NOTRE DAME, Ind. — The No. 5 University of Notre Dame took down the No. 8 Florida State Seminoles 79-61 on Sunday afternoon at Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Center behind a stifling defensive effort against its high-scoring opponent.
Junior Brianna Turner set the tone early on defense with three first quarter blocks, finishing the game with a total of five to go along with her 24 points. Sophomore Arike Ogunbowale finished off her regular season with another stellar offensive performance, pouring in 19 points while senior Lindsay Allen handed out nine assists.
