- This year’s meeting will mark the 41st meeting between Notre Dame and Michigan, with the Wolverines holding a 23-16-1 series lead.
- Michigan scored touchdowns in the final 27 seconds of regulation to capture three consecutive meetings (2009-11). The Irish forced six turnovers and intercepted Denard Robinson five times in last season’s, 13-6, victory at Notre Dame Stadium.

- Michigan owns an all-time winning percentage of .7341 (904-315-36), while Notre Dame owns an all-time winning percentage of .7339 (866-301-42). The Wolverines and Irish rank first and second, respectively, in all-time NCAA winning percentage.
