SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The University of Notre Dame’s Director of Golf and Head Men’s Golf Coach, John Handrigan, has announced Brad Karpick as their assistant coach and director of operations for both the men’s and women’s golf programs.
“Brad’s passion for helping student-athletes and strong work ethic were evident throughout the interview process,” said Handrigan. “Brad is extremely motivated and his high character aligns with the values of Notre Dame. He will be an asset to our teams on a daily basis.”
Karpick joins the Fighting Irish after spending last season as an assistant coach with the men’s and women’s golf programs at UMSL. He competed for five years at GLVC rival Maryville, where he graduated with his MBA in December 2023.
He recorded three top-10 and five top-25 finishes in his final season with the Saints, including winning the McKendree Bearcat Dual Gender with a score of 215 and was named the GLVC’s Men’s Golfer of the Week for his performance. Karpick had a scoring average of 74.03 in his final season.
“I am thrilled to be joining the staff at Notre Dame,” said Karpick. “I want to thank Mr. Fraleigh, Coach Handrigan, Coach Powers Ellis, Coach Zedrick, and Coach Bellville for the opportunity to join the University of Notre Dame golf teams. I am excited to begin working alongside incredible coaches to continue to develop student-athletes both on and off the golf course. There is a strong vision for Notre Dame Golf and I cannot wait to get started and continue to build on the success of both teams.”
