Sophomore Billy Pecor picked up the fifth victory, winning a three setter over Mathieu Froment, 6-3, 4-6, 7-6.

Minnesota, who ended the 2011 season ranked 23rd, won three matches. Leandro Toledo knocked off senior Casey Watt in a tight three setter. Toledo claimed the first set, 6-3, before Watt rebounded to win a close set two, 7-6 (5). Set three was another tight one with Watt having three opportunities to close out the match, before Toledo claimed the set and match, 7-6 (4).
