TULSA, Okla. – Notre Dame’s 30th-ranked senior Sheeva Parbhu lost his opening round match from the main draw of the 2007 Polo Ralph Lauren All-American Tennis Championships to 22nd-ranked Bojan Szumanski of Texas Tech, 6-3, 6-0. Parbhu also dropped his consolation match to 38th-ranked Clancy Shields of Boise State, 6-3, 6-3.
Parbhu (Omaha, NE) is 2-4 on the year and 96-30 for his career. Parbhu remains in a deadlock with Ryan Simme (1994-97) for ninth on the all-time Irish singles’ victory list.
