Cole Isban (’07) remains the only three-time all-region honoree (2005-07) in program history, while Josh Sandman (’10) was tabbed to the all-region team in 2008.

Platt recently completed his senior season as a tri-captain for Notre Dame as an individual qualifier at the NCAA Sugar Grove Regional, held on May 16-18 at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Ill. Platt was just the second Irish golfer ever to qualify for the individual draw of an NCAA Regional tournament, joining Sandman, who played in the . The Santa Barbara, Calif. native officially became the all-time leading scorer in Notre Dame program history (73.17) following a final round one-over par 73 that earned him a share of 34th place at 230 (80-77-73).

Notre Dame’s first ever all-ACC golf selection on either the men’s or women’s side, Platt logged 10 top 10 finishes in the 12 tournaments he entered. He shined during the spring campaign, posting a top 10 result in six of seven starts, recording a Notre Dame best stroke average of 72.10 (cumulative 11-over-par) over 21 rounds. Platt also added three finishes in the top five during the spring of 2014.

Platt claimed his second career individual tournament title with a stellar performance at Notre Dame’s own Oak Hill Intercollegiate on April 21-22 at the historic Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, N.Y. On the fabled major championship layout the Irish senior was bolstered by a second round score of four-under-par 66 to secure medalist honors (71-66-72-209, -1).
