2022-23 (Graduate)

  • Started all 32 games and averaged 33.9 minutes.
  • Averaged a career-best 12.3 ppg.
  • Ryan finished 36 points away from 1,000 in his ND career. Overall in his career – he crossed the 1,000 point mark in the Boston College game on Jan. 21. Ended at 1,173.
  • Crossed the 200 career three-pointer milestone at Duke on Feb. 14. Ended at 212 with 163 occurring at Notre Dame.
  • Final ND career numbers = shot 41.6 percent from the field, 36.4 percent from deep and 81.9 percent from the free-throw line.
  • 11 double-digit scoring performances over the last 13 games, which included a career-best six straight games in double figures.
  • Earned his 3rd 20-point game of the season in ND’s upset win over #25 Pitt – 6th of his career. Ryan put the exclamation point on the 88-81 win with a dunk with 14 seconds left in the game. A few days later at Clemson, he finished one point shy of what would have been his first back-to-back games with 20 points.
  • Averaged 16.6 ppg over the last five games.
  • Averaged 14.5 ppg in the month of March during his ND career – best of anyone on the team.
  • Dished out a career-best eight assists against Louisville on Jan. 28.
  • Vocal leader of the team — Down 7 with 2:30 to play against Georgia Tech on Jan. 10, Ryan led the huddle with the team that inspired the comeback. “C-Mac’s huddle,” said Brey. “Coach didn’t need to say anything. The guys react to him. He was unbelievable. Cormac wants it so bad. He’s invested so much.”
  • Shots weren’t falling against Miami on Dec. 30, but got it done in other areas with season highs in rebounds (9) and assists (5).
  • Led the team in scoring with 21 points in the win over Boston U on Dec. 7 – converted five critical free throws with under three minutes remaining.
  • Scoremac unleased on Michigan St (Nov. 30) – Had one of the best halves of basketball you could ask for – going 5-for-5 from deep, 7-for-8 overall, to score 20 of the team’s 42 halftime points. Ryan finished 6-for-6 from deep to tally a season-high 23 points.
  • Scored 10 points in the 79-76 season-opening win over Radford and delivered on the game-winning basket. Down one with 9.5 seconds on the clock, Ryan drove the lane and converted.

2021-22

  • Posted the game of his career in the NCAA first round victory over Alabama (3/18/22) leading the Irish with 29 points on 10-for-13 shooting 7-for-9 from three point range while adding six rebounds. The career high 29 points is a Mike Brey-era high for a player in the NCAA tournament, while the seven three pointers set the school record for an NCAA tournament game.
  • Left his signature all over the First Four victory over Rutgers (3/16/22) with 16 points in a career-high 46 minutes, shooting 7-for-12 from the floor. Added three steals and excellent defense on Rutgers perimeter players. In the first overtime, stole the ball and laid it in to erase a one-point deficit with under a minute remaining.
  • Stepped up in the ACC Quarterfinal against Virginia Tech (3/10/22) with his second career 20-point game, shooting 5-for-9 from the field and a career-best 8-for-8 from the free throw line to finish with 20 points and two steals.
  • Set a Notre Dame career-high with five three pointers against Pittsburgh (3/5/22) while scoring 15 points with six rebounds and three assists.
  • Just missed his first career double-double in the victory over Georgia Tech (2/26/22), pulling down a career-high and team best 10 rebounds along with eight points and three assists.
  • Made second consecutive start in the overtime victory against Boston College (2/16/22), scoring 12 points with six rebounds and three assists.
  • In second straight start at Clemson (2/12/22), scored 13 points with six rebounds and two steals while shooting 3-of-4 from three-point range. 
  • Started in place of an injured Nate Laszewski vs. Louisville (2/9/22) and logged a season-high 37 minutes with seven points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals. 
  • Converted two free throws at Howard (1/17/22) with :39 remaining to put the Irish up 69-66 in the eventual 71-68 victory. 
  • Connected on two big three-point field goals in the final five minutes of the victory over Texas A&M Corpus Christi (12/22/21) while totaling 14 points, a team-high seven rebounds and a season-high three steals. 
  • Came off the bench for the first time this season against Western Michigan (12/20/21) and finished with 13 points, five rebounds, three assists and a career-high three blocked shots. 
  • Hit all five of his shots in the victory over Chaminade (11/23/11), finishing the game with 11 points and three assists. 
  • Led the Irish with 16 points, including three-of-five from three-point range in the first game of the Maui Invitational vs. St. Mary’s (CA) (11/22/21).

2020-21

  • Scored 14 points off the bench in the ACC tournament first-round victory over Wake Forest (3/9/21) and making the defensive play of the game, blocking a Demon Deacon shot in the games final moments, grabbing the rebound then finding teammate Trey Wertz for a buzzer-beating three-point field goal for the win.
  • Did a little bit of everything in the victory over No. 11/11 Florida State (3/6/21), hitting his first two 3FG attempts off the bench, then finishing with seven rebounds, 11 points, three assists, a steal and a blocked shot.
  • Pulled down a career-high nine rebounds, including five on the offensive end against NC State (3/3/21).
  • Rolled his left ankle in the first half of the victory over Miami (2/14/21), limiting him to 22 minutes of action. Returned to the court after the injury and missed just a couple minutes of game action.
  • Exploded to score a game-high and career-best 28 points at Duke (2/9/21), including 21 in the first half as the Irish rallied from a 15-point deficit to eventually cut the lead to five at the break. Missed first three shots of the game, then rattled off eight consecutive makes in the first half, finishing the first 20 minutes with 21 points, two rebounds, two steals and a blocked shot. Started off the second half with a three-point shot and scored 13 consecutive points for the Irish at one point in the game.
  • Continued to provide a scoring boost off the bench in the victory over Wake Forest (2/2/21) with 13 points (hitting two of his first three 3FG attempts) while adding three rebounds, three assists and a career-high-matching three steals.
  • Returned to the lineup with authority at Pittsburgh (1/30/21) scoring a Notre Dame-career-high 19 points on 7-of-8 shooting, including 5-of-6 from three-point range.
  • Missed the game against No. 20/19 Virginia Tech (1/27/21) with a sprained left foot.
  • Came off the bench for the first time in his ND career against Boston College (1/16/21), scoring 10 points and pulling down at least five rebounds for the sixth time in 2020-21.
  • Pushed his Notre Dame career-high by scoring 16 of Notre Dame’s final 18 points in the loss at No. 18/22 Virginia (1/13/21).
  • Led the team with seven rebounds at No. 19/20 Virginia Tech (1/10/21), adding 10 points and four assists.
  • Pulled down a career-high matching eight rebounds in the victory at Kentucky (12/12/20).
  • Established an early-season Notre Dame career-high against No. 22/20 Ohio State (12/8/20) in the first half, scoring 15 points.
  • Scored 12 points with six assists in his first home game at Notre Dame vs. Detroit Mercy (12/6/20), including a deep three pointer during a game-sealing 12-0 run late in the second half.
  • Made his debut in an Irish uniform at No. 13/12 Michigan State (11/28/20), connecting on his first two three-point field goals in the game and eventually finishing with 13 points, three three-point field goals and three assists.

2019-20

  • Sat out the season to fulfill NCAA transfer requirements.

2018-19 (AS A FRESHMAN AT STANFORD)

  • Appeared in 24 games at Stanford, starting 17 including the season opener.
  • Finished the year with an 8.7 ppg average, while leading the Cardinal with 48 three-point field goals.
  • Also pulled down 83 rebounds (3.5 per game) with 45 assists (1.8 per game) and shot .737 at the free throw line.
  • Reached double-digit figure scoring 10 times during his rookie season, including 18 points against UCLA and 18 versus Southern Cal.

HIGH SCHOOL

  • A consensus four-star prospect out of Milton Academy in Massachusetts.
  • Two-time New England Prep School Athletic Conference (NEPSAC) Class A Player of the Year (2017, 2018).
  • Scored 1,423 career points at Milton Academy, joining the program in his sophomore season after playing as a freshman at Collegiate Prep in New York City.
