AS A SENIOR:

  • Capped his Irish career with a second ACC Men’s Epee Championship, having also won as a freshman in 2016
  • Went 24-20 during dual meets on the season
  • Took first place at the Penn State Garret Open to start the year
  • Went 3-0 at the Philadelphia Invitational
  • Posted a 7-2 mark during the ACC Championships to help the Irish capture the team title
  • Defeated teammate Stephen Ewart 15-13 in the ACC Championship bout

AS A JUNIOR:

  • Concluded the season with a 23-22 record, competing in five of six meets
  • Posted a 7-4 record at the St. John’s Invitational

AS A SOPHOMORE:

  • Competed in first career NCAA Championship, finishing in 13th place
  • Placed fourth at the NCAA Midwest Regional
  • Posted a 33-22 record in dual meets during the season
  • Placed second at the ACC Championship, falling to teammate Ariel Simmons in the title bout (15-9)
  • Clinched the winning point in Notre Dame’s ACC Championship match against Duke, ensuring the Irish would win their third straight ACC crown
  • Went 6-2 during the team portion of the ACC Championship

AS A FRESHMAN:

  • Claimed the ACC Men’s Epee title, rising from the No. 4 seed to take the crown
  • Went 9-6 in pool play to earn a spot in direct elimination
  • Defeated No. 1 seed Matthew Shlimak of North Carolina 15-11 in the semifinal before downing Duke’s Dakota Nollner 15-13 to win the championship
  • Became the program’s second ACC men’s epee champion
  • Placed seventh at the NCAA Midwest Regional
  • Posted a 36-22 mark on the season
  • Earned a monogram

PREP AND PERSONAL:

  • Graduated from Magee Secondary School in June 2015
  • Member of the Canadian cadet and junior teams
  • Placed third in epee at the 2015 Junior Pan-American Championships as the Canadian epee squad took gold
  • Took first in foil at the 2014 Cadet Pan-Am Championships
  • Placed third in cadet epee and fifth in the junior division epee at the 2014 World Championships
  • Came in sixth in epee at the Cadet European Circuit in Bratislava
  • Placed first in cadet epee at the 2014 October North American Cup and third at the December NAC
