AS A SENIOR: Competed in five meets during cross country season … won the National Catholic Championship 5M race out of a field of 89 runners (24:57.98) … named ACC Cross Country Performer of the Week, September 23, 2014 … finished 39th at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championship 10K (31:03) … placed 40th of 138 runners at the ACC Championships 8K (24:26.7) … earned a cross country monogram … saw first action of the indoor track season in the 3,000 meters (23rd) at the Razorback Invitational … placed 14th in the 5,000 meters at the Meyo Invitational (14:34.41) … paced Irish finishers with a fifth-place showing in the 3,000 at the Alex Wilson Invitational (8:11.19) … placed 10th in the 5,000 meters (14:24.75) and 22nd in the 3,000 at the ACC Indoor Championships … kicked off the outdoor season in the 10,000 meters at the Stanford Invitational … placed eighth in the 5,000 at the Virginia Challenge (14:08.34) … nearly earned all-ACC honors, but finished 8th in the 10,000 meters at the ACC Outdoor Championships (30:12.17) … qualified for the NCAA East Preliminary in the 10,000 … named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team … earned the Hritzu-Erikson Award for Excellence in Arabic Studies … earned a track monogram.
AS A JUNIOR:Competed in six of the seven meets during the cross country season … placed second out of 91 runners in the National Catholic Championship 5m (25:05.4) … placed 81st out of 209 runners in the Notre Dame Invitational 5m (25:38.0) … took 46th out of 129 runners in the ACC Championship 8K (25:09.4) … finished 27th out of 129 runners in the NCAA Great Lakes Regional 10K (31:10) … earned a cross country monogram … Competed in four meets during the indoor track & field season … placed 26h of 31 runners in the 3,000m run at the ACC Indoor Championships (8:40.07) before finishing 40th of 44 runners in the 5000m run at the same event (15:10.05) … was on double duty once again at the ACC Outdoor Championships, finishing 30th of 55 runners in the 5,000m run (14:38.96) before earning a ninth place finish among 24 runners in the 10,000m run … One of three male Irish male athletes to compete at the NCAA Division I East Preliminary Round, recording a 28th place finish in the 10,000m run (30:46.33).
AS A SOPHOMORE: Ran in five meets during the cross country season, including the BIG EAST, NCAA Great Lakes Regional and NCAA Championship meets … finished 22ndout of 114 runners at the 8K BIG EAST Championship (25:13.69) to help the Irish take third out of 14 teams … placed 31stout of 201 runners at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional meet (31:55) as Notre Dame finished fifth out of 30 teams … opened year with an eighth place showing out of 276 runners at the five mile National Catholic Championship (24:52.1) … took 46thout of 163 runners in the five mile blue race at the Notre Dame Invitational (24:29) … earned a cross country monogram … ran in nine meets during the indoor and outdoor season… competed in the NCAA East Preliminaries in the 10,000m… finished in eighth place in the 10,000m (29:58.73) at the BIG EAST Outdoor Championships … other outdoor meets competed in were the Polytan and Stanford Invitationals … finished seventh and ran a personal best in the 5,000m (14:14.96) at the Alex Wilson Invitational … competed at the BIG EAST Indoor Championships, finishing fourth in the 5,000m (14:21.80) and ninth in the 3,000m (8:13.12) … placed third in the 5,000m (14:28.22) at the Meyo Invitational … registered a second place finish in the 3,000m (8:21.80) at the Notre Dame Invitational … finished fourth in the 5,000m (14:36.80) at the Blue & Gold Invitational to kick off the season … participated in the Rosenthal Leadership Academy … named a BIG EAST Academic All-Star … USTFCCCA All-Academic team selection (track & field) … earned a track & field monogram.
AS A FRESHMAN:Competed in two meets during the cross country season … finished 18th out of 255 runners at the 8K National Catholic Championships (25:12) … also ran in the 8K blue race at the Notre Dame Invitational (25:55) … competed in eight outdoor and indoor track & field meets on the year … placed sixth at the BIG EAST Outdoor Championships in the 10,000m with a time of 33:13.21 … ran a season best 4:15.90 mile time at the Notre Dame Invitational … achieved a fifth place finish at the Indiana University relays in his sole outing of the 3,000m with a 8:26.95 mark … ran a season high in the 5,000m with a time 14:24.77 … finished in 3:59.74 in the 1,500m at the Polytan Invitational … placed second at the U.S. Junior National Championships in the 10,000m, earning a spot on the U.S. World Junior team that competed in Barcelona, Spain in July … finished 11th and was first U.S. runner to cross the finish line … competed at the NACAC Cross Country Championships in Trinidad in March, finishing ninth in helping the U.S. to a team title … qualified for the meet after finishing fifth at the 8K USA Cross Country Championships in Saint Louis, Mo., in February … … named to the Dean’s List following both semesters … named a BIG EAST Academic All-Star … earned a track & field monogram.
HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL:Jacob Michael Kildoo graduated from Grove City High School in the spring of 2011 … lettered all four years in cross country and track & field … conference, sectional and regional champion in both sports as a sophomore, junior and senior … four-time all-conference, all-city, all-region and all-county selection in both sports … all-state as a senior in both sports … named team captain as a senior … finished 12th at the Footlocker NE Regional as a junior … claimed fifth place at the Pennsylvania state cross country meet as a senior … finished fourth and third, respectively, as a junior and senior at in the 3,000-meter run at the Pennsylvania state track & field championships … off the track was a member of the National Honor Society and volunteered at a local nursing home … participated in choir at church … finished fourth in class academically … born to Michael and Gwen Kildoo in Butler, Pa. … has a younger brother, Noah … double major who is enrolled in the College of Arts & Letters for philosophy and Arabic.
