AS A SENIOR: Did not compete during the cross country season … took part in three meets during the track season … placed sixth in the 800 meters at the Blue and Gold Invitational … came in 22nd in the 3,000 meters at the Notre Dame Invitational … finished fifth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the ACC/Big Ten Challenge in only action of the outdoor season.
AS A JUNIOR:Competed in three meets during the cross country season … finished ninth out of 27 runners in the Crusader Invitational 6K (19:45.2) … took sixth place in the JV National Catholic Championship 5m (26:59) … placed 48th out of 100 runners in the JV Notre Dame Invitational 5m (27:18.7) … Ran in one meet during the outdoor track & field season, finishing third of five runners in the Border Battle 3000m steeplechase (9:33.26).
AS A SOPHOMORE: Competed in one meet during the cross country season … finished eighth out of 36 runners in the season-opening 6K Crusader Classic (19:46.4) … ran in two meets during the track & field season … specialized in the mile for the Irish … achieved a new personal best in the mile at the Meyo Invitational (4:24.72) … also competed at the Notre Dame Invitational … named a BIG EAST Academic All-Star.
AS A FRESHMAN:Did not run during the cross country season … competed in seven indoor/outdoor track & field meets … finished second in the 3,000m steeplechase at the Texas Roadhouse Border Battle with a 9:03.32 mark … achieved a personal best in the mile at the Meyo Invitational with a time of 4:26.74 … gathered in a fifth place finish in the 3,000m (9:03.32) at the Blue & Gold invitational … named a BIG EAST Academic All-Star … named to the Dean’s List both semesters.
HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL:Johnny Harvey Fuller graduated from Glenwood High School in the spring of 2011 … lettered four times in cross country and track & field and twice in wrestling … won the 3,200-meter run at the Drake Relays … helped track & field squad to state title … racked up all- conference, all-region, all-county and all- state honors throughout career … ranked nationally as a senior in both cross country and track & field … named team MVP all four years in both cross country and track & field … team captain for three years in cross country and twice in track & field … participated in Student Council, FCA, Key Club, State Catholic Youth Council, Knights of Columbus and Reach-SADD … named to the Hawkeye 10 All-Academic team … won the Got Milk? SAMMY award … gold medalist at the Iowa Western Juried Art Competition … born to John and Deanna Fuller in Omaha, Neb. … has a younger brother, James … enrolled in the College of Arts & Letters and is majoring in art studio with minors in business economics and education schooling and society.
