• ACC Tourney vs. Georgia Tech – tied his season high of seven points, draining an important three early in the 2nd half.
• Zona dropped 2 big threes in the Senior Night win over Clemson and grabbed 4 rebounds.
• Career high 6 rebounds twice over the last 2 weeks: at UNC (3/2) and vs. Wake Forest (2/27).
• Went 2-of-2 from three against NC State on Jan. 3.

As a Junior (2022-23)

• Played 20 games and averaged 7.0 minutes off the bench.
• Made it rain with three big treys in the ACC Tournament first-round matchup vs Virginia Tech. Established new career highs in three-pointers (3), assists (2) and blocks (2).
• Scored a career-high 10 points in the regular-season finale at Clemson behind two three-pointers. He also grabbed five rebounds – one shy of his season high.
• Thus, he was 5-for-7 from deep in the final two games of the season.
• Was 6-for-11 (.545) from three on the season.
• Grabbed a career-best six rebounds while knocking down a three at No. 7 Virginia on Feb. 18. It was the first three of his collegiate career.
• Played 16 minutes and recorded four points and four rebounds against Wake on Feb. 4.
• Scored in three straight games from Dec. 27-Jan. 7.
• In the final two minutes of the Jacksonville win on Dec. 27, Zona got an O-board and putback for two points.
• Recorded his first block and rebound of the season in three minutes of action vs Southern Indiana (11/16).
• Saw his first minutes of the 2022-23 season against Youngstown St on Nov. 13. Recorded an assist in two minutes of action.

As a Sophomore (2021-22)

• Played in eight games, averaging 2.3 minutes off the bench.
• Scored a season-high three points against Western Michigan on Dec. 20.
• Also tallied points against Duke on Jan. 31 and Pittsburgh on March 5.
• Reeled in a season-high four rebounds vs Georgia Tech on Feb. 26.

As a Freshman (2020-21)

• Focused effort in practice leading up to the game at Miami (1/24/21) earned him his first career start, pulling down two rebounds in the game’s first four minutes.
• Scored his first career field goal in the second half against No. 22/20 Ohio State (12/8/20), putting back an offensive rebound.
• Made his Notre Dame debut at No. 13/12 Michigan State (11/28/20), hitting a free throw, blocking a shot and recording a steal in six minutes of action.

Prep

• The 64th-ranked center and 15th-ranked player in New Jersey by 247Sports.
• The 2019-20 North Jersey Basketball Player of the Year after leading Bergen Catholic to a 22-7 record, scoring 14.8 points per game with 11.4  rebounds and 2.5 blocks.
• Finished his career at Bergen Catholic by logging 1,237 points, second-most all-time in the boys basketball program.
• Named the New Jersey Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2020.
• Earned first-team all-Bergen County honors in 2018, 2019 and 2020.
• Competed for NJ Shoreshots on the AAU circuit.

• Son of Michael and Kerry Zona, along with sister Emily.
• Father, Michael, played basketball and baseball at Iona.
• Enrolled in the Mendoza College of Business with a major in management consulting.
