AS A GRADUATE (2022-23)

• Competed at the NCAA Cross Country Championships after a 17th-place finish at the Great Lakes Regional Championships
• Finished 41st in the 8K at ACC Cross Country Championships with a PR of 23:46.8

AS A SENIOR (2021-22)

• Finished 16th at Outdoor NCAAs in the 10000M with a PR of 28:34.28
• Took second in the 3000m race at the 2021 Blue & Gold Invite (8:04.02)
• Crossed the finish line at the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships setting a PR at 29:38.3
• Set a PR at the Joe Piane Invitational five mile race with a time of 23:22.6

AS A JUNIOR (2020-21)

• Earned First Team All-ACC honors at the outdoor ACC Championships by taking fourth in the 5,000m  with a PR time of 13:41.79
• Picked up First Team All-ACC honors at the indoor ACC Championships in the 3,000m with a third place finish (7:59.44) which was a PR
• Named to Second-Team All-ACC at the indoor ACC Championships in the 5,000m by taking fifth place with a time of 13:59.28
• Set a PR at the ACC Cross Country Championships (8k) by crossing the line in 23:49.9 to place 27th
• Finished 17th in the 5,000m at the NCAA East Regional with a mark of 13:52.36

AS A SOPHOMORE (2019-20)

• Took home silver in the men’s 5000m at the ACC Indoor Championships with a time of 13:59.30 
• Won the 5000m at the Iowa State Classic with a PR of 13:56.00, the second-fastest time in the ACC in the 2020 season

AS A FRESHMAN (2018-19)

• Recorded a personal best 3K steeplechase time of 9:10.02 on his way to 10th at the ACC Championships.
• Logged a PR in the 3K steeplechase (9:10.59) at the Virginia Classic.
• Competed in the 3K run (8:17.61) at the ACC Indoor Championships.
• Established a PR in the 3K run (8:13.13) to finish sixth at the Meyo Invitational.
• Set a PR in the mile with a time of 4:20.12 at the Gene Edmonds Open.
• Placed third in the 3K run with a time of 8:22.84 at the Blue and Gold Invitational.

PREP AND PERSONAL

• Finished second on three occasions at the Iowa State meet (cross country, 2 mile and 5K).
• As a junior, finished third at the state cross country championships.
• Attended Dowling Catholic High School.
• Native of Des Moines, Iowa.
• Son of Jim and Julie Carmody.
• Has five brothers, Tom, John, Joe, James and David, and one sister, Allison.
• Brother John is a swimmer at Washington and Leigh College and brother Joe runs there.
