- Took 1st place in the 800 in the 2021 Blue & Gold Invitational (2:16.60)
- Set a PR at the Joe Piane Invitational with a time of 18:55.9
AS A FRESHMAN (2020-21)
- Made her Irish debut at the Notre Dame Invitational, placing fifth in the 800m with a time of 2:17.04
- Recorded a PR in the 800m at the Bob Harris Open, finishing in 2:13.69
PREP AND PERSONAL:
- Two-time all-state in track and field and two-time all-state in cross country in the state of Florida
- Named team MVP three times and was selected as the team captain during her senior year
- Was named the Academy of the Holy Names Class of 2020 Senior Outstanding Athlete of the Year
- Led cross-country team to district and regional titles
- School record holder in the 400m (59.61), 800m (2:13.22), 1600m (5:10.57) and 5K (18:24.67)
- Graduated from Academy of Holy Names in 2020 as the valedictorian
- Named a National Merit Commended Scholar, National AP Scholar and Tampa Bay Times Tribune Scholar
- Volunteered and served as the Executive Director with Cross Out Caner, Inc., a student-led nonprofit that brings together high school cross-country runners from the Tampa Bay area to raise funds for pediatric cancer patients
- Daughter of Kathleen and Bill Hughes and has three brothers (Jack, Sean & Danny) and one sister (Katie)
- Mother, Kathleen, ran track at St. Mary’s College
- Has 14 relatives that either graduated or attend Notre Dame
