AS A SOPHOMORE: Ran in four cross country meets for the Irish … took 16th at the National Catholic Championship in 25:57 in a Notre Dame title-winning effort … significantly dropped his time on the Notre Dame home course two weeks later, running 25:03 at the Notre Dame Invitational to place 69th … finished as the team[apos]s fifth runner in the meet … ran 25:24 at the NCAA Pre-National Meet … concluded his cross country campaign at the BIG EAST Championship where he finished 89th … top performance indoors was an 8:49.94 mark in the 3,000 meters at the Notre Dame Opener … ran solely the 10,000 meters in the outdoor season … finished second in the event at the Mike Poehlein Invitational, running 31:44.8 … ran very well at the Drake Relays, established a career best in the 10K with a seventh-place time of 30:50.91 … competed at the outdoor BIG EAST Championship … closed out his season with a 22nd-place finish in the 10,000 meters.

AS A FRESHMAN: Competed in one cross country competition during the fall, taking 32nd place (25:54) in the Gold Division race at the Notre Dame Invitational … top performance of the indoor track campaign came at the Alex Wilson Invitational, when he ran 8:48.24 over 3,000 meters … did not race during the outdoor track season.

HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL: Four-year letter winner in both cross country and track during his career at Eisenhower High School … earned cross country All-America honors at the 2004 Foot Locker National Championships with an eighth-place finish … qualified for the Foot Locker meet with a third-place effort at the 2004 Nike Team Nationals … three-time all-state performer, two-time regional champion, and four-time conference champion in cross country … two-time track conference champion and school and valley record-holder in the 3,200 meters … earned national rankings in cross country each of his last two seasons and served as team captain during both his senior cross country and track seasons … personal bests are 9:06 in the 3,200 meters, 4:19 in the 1,600 meters, 15:00 for 5,000-meter cross country and 14:41 for three-mile cross country … member of the National Honor Society … middle of three children … born Aug. 7, 1986 in Yakima, Wash. … enrolled in the Mendoza College of Business.
