- Three-year Notre Dame totals = 579 points on 38.2 percent shooting, 104 made three-pointers on 36.9 percent shooting from deep and 85 made free-throws behind an .810 clip from the line. Also dished out a total of 210 assists.
- Five-year collegiate number = 1,326 points on 42.6 percent shooting, 193 made three-pointers on 36.4 percent shooting from deep and 213 made free-throws behind a .777 clip from the line. Also dished out a total of 491 assists.

- Tied his season high in made threes with four and grabbed a season-best seven rebounds at Syracuse on Jan. 14, totaling 12 points.
- Only made two buckets against Georgia Tech on Jan. 10 but they were the two most clutch of the game. Wertz hit a three in the corner which tied the game at 65-all with 53 seconds left and sent the game to overtime. Then in OT, he hit a go-ahead three with 55 seconds left.
- Led the team in scoring vs Miami on Dec. 30 with 15 points – he was 3-of-5 from three.
- Tied his career high of three steals vs Georgia on Dec. 18.
- Got back in double figures against Boston U on Dec. 7. In fact, he recorded a stretch in the 2nd half in which he made 12 of the team’s next 16 points, recording three three-pointers in that stretch.
- Season-high seven assists, plus eight points, in Michigan State win on Nov. 30.
- Recorded three straight games in double figures for the first time in his Irish career (first three games of the season). It marked the 5th time in his collegiate career.
- Season-high 20 points against Southern Indiana (11/16), including 12 in the 2nd half. It marked his 2nd highest scoring output in an Irish uniform (second to his 27 vs Purdue back on Dec. 19, 2020).
- Wertz helped power the offense in the season-opening win over Radford. He had 10 points at the half and finished with 18. In fact, Wertz connected on three treys in a row from 8:22-6:51 in the second half.
2021-22
- Ended up with eight points and three assists in the victory at Clemson (2/12/22).
- With Nate Laszewski sidelined with an injury, stepped up to play 26 minutes, scoring 12 points with two steals in the victory at NC State (2/5/22). His three pointer with 13:55 left ended an NC State run which gave the home team their first lead and tied the game at 40-40. The basket kick started a 12-2 Irish run to take control of the game.
- Connected on all three of his three point field goal attempts at Louisville (1/22/22) to score nine points and surpass 1,000 career points.
- Missed the first game of the season due to injury, as a sprained right ankle kept him out of the victory over TAMU CC (12/22/21).
- Scored 12 points off the bench and was a perfect 4-for-4 from the line against No. 10/12 Kentucky.
2020-21
- Hit the game-winning three-point field goal at the buzzer to cap an Irish rally to victory over Wake Forest (3/9/21) in the first round of the ACC tournament.
- Stat line doesn’t tell the story of his effort vs. No. 11/11 Florida State (3/6/21), as he handled the ball against the FSU pressure defense, committing just one turnover, while compiling a Notre Dame career-high three steals and three rebounds.
- Came off the bench at Boston College (2/27/21) to score 17 points, including seven-of-nine shooting from the field, with two assists and one rebound.
- Returned to the starting lineup at Syracuse (2/20/21) and led the Irish with 17 points and five three pointers.
- Played a key role in the victory off the bench at Duke (2/9/21) with seven points, five rebounds and six assists – with no turnovers.
- Went 3-for-5 from behind the arc against Wake Forest (2/2/21), scoring nine points in 28 minutes.
- Came off the bench at Miami (1/24/21) to score five points and set an ND-high with five rebounds and two steals.
- Popped back into the starting lineup against Boston College (1/16/21), playing 29 minutes and finishing with five points and three assists.
- Showed signs of returning to form at No. 18/22 Virginia (1/13/21) with 13 points in 24 minutes off the bench.
- Sprained his left ankle in the first half against Virginia (12/30/20) and is expected to miss the next two-to-three weeks of action.
- Inserted into the starting lineup against Purdue in the Crossroads Classic (12/19/20) and responded with a team-high 27 points, five three-point field goals along with five assists.
- Played 20 minutes in his first action for Notre Dame against No. 21/23 Duke (12/16/20), scoring nine points with three rebounds and an assist.
- Activated on December 16, 2020, as the NCAA passed an immediate transfer waiver to all Division I student-athletes who transferred from another Division I program in the fall of 2020.
2019-20 at Santa Clara
- Averaged 11.9 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game while helping Santa Clara to a 20-13 overall record.
- Shot over 48 percent from the field during his sophomore season along with a 40-percent clip from behind the three-point line.
- Poured in 31 points against Pacific (1/18/20).
- Scored 28 points and connected on six three-point field goals against Mississippi Valley (12/20/19).
2018-19 at Santa Clara
- A West Coast Conference (WCC) all-freshman selection.
- Appeared in 31 games with 29 starts, finishing third on the team in scoring (12.2) and sixth in the WCC in assists (4.7 per game).
- Logged 1,014 minutes as a freshman, at the time the fourth-most for a rookie in program history.
- Dished out a 10 assists against San Jose State (11/24/18).
- Exploded for 33 points in a victory over Jackson State (11/29/18) and 28 points in a double-overtime win over Southern Cal (12/18/18).
- Earned WCC Player of the Week honors in December of 2018 after averaging 19.0 points, 7.0 assists and 4.0 rebounds against Southern Cal and Idaho.
HIGH SCHOOL
- A McDonald’s All-American nominee as a senior at Providence Day School.
- Rated as one of the top 15 recruits in the state of North Carolina.
- Earned all-state honors as a senior, averaging 18.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game.
- Led Providence Day School in 2018 to the program’s sixth-straight CISAA conference championship and a berth in the North Carolina Independent Schools Final Four.
