WATERSOUND, Fla. – Notre Dame men’s golf got a boost from one of its freshmen on Monday, in what is his first official collegiate tournament. Tucker Clark shone bright, firing off a second-round 70, two-under par, jumping from 33rd to 17th place.
Clark posted an unblemished front-nine, which included birdies on holes four and eight. Sophomore Palmer Jackson notched the most birdies on the day with five, but ultimately finished with a 71 (-2). As a result, Jackson moved up 26th place at two-over par.
Andrew O’Leary sits in 39th place at five-over. He shot a 77 (+5) on Monday. Taichi Kho hit some struggles on day two, sliding to 46th after carding an 81 (+9). Davis Chatfield finds himself in 53rd after a 79 (+7).
Individual competitor Angelo Marcon enters Tuesday in 39th place at five-over. The freshman carded a 75 (+3) on Monday.
