The University of Notre Dame softball team’s doubleheader at Western Michigan, scheduled for Tuesday, March 26, has been cancelled due to inclement weather and cold temperatures.

These are the fourth and fifth games the Irish have lost to poor weather conditions this season. Three games during the Aggie Invitational in College Station, Texas, were called off in early March (1-3). Notre Dame’s home doubleheaders against Rutgers and Villanova, which were to be played last weekend, have been rescheduled for May 3 and 5, respectively.

The Irish begin BIG EAST Conference play on the road this weekend with a doubleheader at Pittsburgh on Saturday, March 30.
