The University of Notre Dame softball team will host two fall tournaments at Ivy Field during the team’s exhibition schedule. Wayne State, Detroit Mercy, Western Michigan, Wisconsin-Parkside and Southern Illinois-Edwardsville will take part in the two tournaments.
The tournaments will offer Irish fans a first look at the team’s seven-member freshman class. All the games are exhibitions, the records do not count toward the 2006 season – nor do the stats. A full recap of the team’s fall schedule will be posted on www.und.com upon completion of the exhibition season.
