NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Hatherly-Piane Director of Track & Field and Cross Country and head women’s cross country coach Matt Sparks was named as the 2024 Great Lakes Region Women’s Coach of the Year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Coach Sparks led the Irish to team victories at the NCAA Great Lakes Region Championships, ACC Championships, National Catholic Invitational, and Winrow-Valparaiso Open during the 2024 season.
It is the fourth-consecutive Great Lakes Region Women’s Coach of the Year recognition for Coach Sparks.
