Andrew Weiss 2024-25 Cheerleading Staff
Assistant Coach
Andrew joined Coach Delayna in 2016 when she took over the program and brings over 15 years of coaching experience to our staff! While his specialty is tumbling instruction, he possesses a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of the sport. Originally from Rockland, Maine, he began his coaching career in the Northeast as an Instructor with the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA), before moving to Indiana for college. While a student at Holy Cross College (IN), Andrew competed at the 2009 USASF Cheerleading World Championships with ICE All-Stars on the Small Coed “Lightning” squad and took home a Bronze Globe. He coached at ICE All-Stars for nearly 10 years under the mentorship of Darlene Fanning where his teams won numerous National Championships. As a tumbling instructor and cheerleading consultant for ICE, Andrew assisted countless individuals and high school programs in Northern Indiana, Southwestern Michigan, and Maine with skill building, choreography, and program development. He even served for a time as the Head Cheerleading Coach at St. Joseph High School in South Bend, where he was also an Assistant Football Coach!
Today, in his “real job” Andrew has built a successful career as a Financial Advisor for the Knights of Columbus. Along with his lovely and ever-patient wife Dani, they stay quite busy as they attempt to balance being active parishioners at their church, engaged members of their beloved city of South Bend, and competent professionals (Dani is an attorney), all while wrangling their many children. Both Andrew and Dani were named to the “Michiana Forty Under 40” Class of 2023 by the South Bend Regional Chamber of Commerce, so they must be doing something right!
