Bo Waggoner 2025-26 Men's Basketball Staff

Austin “Bo” Waggoner accepted the role of Director of Operations in June 2025, joining Micah Shrewsberry’s staff. Waggoner and Shrewsberry had crossed paths before, spending a year working together at Penn State when he was a grad assistant during the 2021-22 campaign. Waggoner arrives in South Bend after working with the Minnesota Timberwolves for the past two years.

In September of 2023, Waggoner became a Video Associate with the Timberwolves, creating scouting reports for each opponent. He would code games, coordinate delivery of games to coaching staff, update playbooks/video playbooks of other teams, and ultimately assist the coaching staff in developing scouting reports/game plans for opponents.

Waggoner also served as Video Coordinator/Quality Control Coach for the Timberwolves during the Summer League. He coordinated & communicated team meetings and practices, oversaw video operations for the team at the 2024 NBA Summer League and was responsible for in-game challenge decisions.

Prior to Minnesota, Waggoner served one year as an Assistant Coach with the Wilkes University Men’s Basketball program. He assisted in organizing and supporting the players to create a successful program on the court, in the locker room and in the classroom. He helped in recruiting and served as the team’s defensive coordinator.

Waggoner got his start at Penn State, first as a student manager with the men’s basketball program. Then from June 2020-2022, he served the program as a graduate assistant and obtained his Master’s Degree in Education.
