SUMMER 2006: Reached semifinals of match play at Maryland State Amateur before falling to eventual champion Jeff Castle on the 20th hole; had shot 71 in stroke play qualifying, followed by 70 in opening match play round and later 68 in the regulation portion of semifinal match play loss to Castle … tied for 30th place (72-81=153, +11) in U.S. Amateur sectional qualifier at Piney Branch Golf Club in Hampstead, Md.
AS A SOPHOMORE: Tapped to play in five tournaments, all with travel squad … posted 76.73 stroke average for 15 rounds … opened with a tie for 57th place at Shoal Creek Intercollegiate, logging a 13-over par 229 (76-79-74) … split 54th place at Coca-Cola Duke Classic with an eight-over par 224 (76-74-74) … tied for 50th place at the Prestige at PGA WEST after carding an 11-over par 227 (75-75-77) … cracked starting five for spring opener at Lexus Naples Intercollegiate Invitational; tied for 45th place at 15-over par 231 (78-76-77) … also competed in General Jim Hackler Invitational, ending up in 77th place at 24-over par 240 (76-83-81).
