- Appeared in one game for the Irish in 2018, a 17-5 victory over Army (5/5/18).
- Posted an assist in the win.
AS A JUNIOR (2017)
- Played in the win over Michigan (2/26) as an attackman in his third season with the Irish
AS A SOPHOMORE (2016)
- Played in the 14-5 win over Detroit (2/27).
AS A FRESHMAN (2015)
- Played in two games during his first season with the Irish
- Picked up a ground ball in victory against Albany (14-10)
PREP AND PERSONAL:
- Rated 64th in the Inside Lacrosse Power 100 Freshmen
- Earned three varsity letters in lacrosse, two in soccer and one in football
- Led lacrosse team in points during his senior campaign
- Received All-Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) and All-Metro accolades as a senior
- Won the team’s Campbell Award and was a finalist for the C. Markland Kelly Award
- Son of Robert Helfferich and Erin Ruhl Helfferich
- Uncle, Billy Ruhl, and aunt, Caroline Ruhl, played lacrosse at Maryland
- Joins fellow Gilman School alums Conor and Jack Doyle on the Fighting Irish roster
- Played for the Baltimore Lacrosse Club
- Has a younger brother, Charlie
- Enrolled in the College of Arts and Letters as a political science major
