Bio • Awards • Career Bests Will be one of the team’s top swimmers in the breaststroke this season … had a runner- up finish at the 2006 BIG EAST Championships in the 200 breaststroke … also placed in the top four in the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke at the BIG EAST Championships her junior season to earn all-BIG EAST honors in three events … she now has won nine all-BIG EAST honors in her career … has also excelled in the classroom as she has been a BIG EAST Academic All-Star each of the last two years … her sophomore season, she claimed two BIG EAST titles and added three additional all- BIG EAST honors … has range to swim the 50 free, both breaststrokes, the 100 butterfly and the 200 IM. Was the conference runner- up in the 200 breaststroke (2:16.79) at the BIG EAST Championships … took home two additional all-BIG EAST honors in the 200 IM (2:02.78) and 100 breaststroke (1:04.04) … her 200 IM time was a career best … swam her best time in placing third in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.57) at the Minnesota Invitational … she also had a strong meet at the Notre Dame Invitational … she swam a 55.73 to finish second in the preliminary, or only to better her time with a 55.35 and still finish second in the 100 butterfly … part of the squad that set the Notre Dame Invitational 200 relay mark (1:43.37) … also excelled in the classroom as she was a BIG EAST Academic All-Star for the second consecutive year. Stepped up to win the BIG EAST championship in the 200 breaststroke (2:16.45, an NCAA ‘B’ cut) … also earned a conference title as part of the 200 medley relay team … added all-BIG EAST honors with a second-place finish in the 200 IM (2:02.26 – behind teammate Katie Carroll), third-place finish in the 100 fly and third-place effort in the 200 medley relay … a force during the team’s dual meet season, winning a team-high 13 individual races (including five in the 200 breast) and contributing to five relay victories as well … ranked first on the team in the 200 breast and second in the 100 breast, 100 fly and 200 IM. Ranked among team’s top three swimmers in her three main events: second in 200 breast (2:18.59) and 100 fly (55.51) and third in 100 breast (1:05.22) … finished third – after qualifying seventh – in the 100 fly in BIG EAST Championships as a rookie to earn all-conference accolades … reached the finals in all three individual events in league meet, scoring 34 points … also took fifth in 200 breast after qualifying third and was 13th in 100 breast … moved up 19 spots from seeding (22nd) in 100 fly at BIG EAST meet … also qualified for BIG EAST meet in 200 IM (2:06.95).
