Current Notre Dame record holder in the 500 Free (4:22.82), 1,000 Free (9:14.25), and 1,650 Free (15:15.99) … actually projected to eclipse those marks this season … improved versatility since last season … his three individual BIG EAST titles are the most in school history … owns five of the top 10 times in the 1,000 Free in school history … has the top two marks in both the 500 and 1,650 Freestyle events … ranks second in program history in the 400 IM (3:54.93) … three-time monogram winner … thorough trainer … smooth swimmer.

As a Junior: Peaked at the BIG EAST Championship in the 500 Free (4:28.56), 1,650 Free (15:34.83), and 400 IM (3:58.61) … honored as an all-BIG EAST performer in the 1,650 Free … the 1,650 Free showing at the league meet was best among all Irish swimmers for the year … his performances in the 200 Breast (2:08.47) and 200 IM (1:59.02) in a conference showdown with Louisville set personal-best times for him on the season … had first-place finishes in the 1,000 Free at meets with Texas A&M (9:28.45) and Purdue (9:29.61) … fastest among the field in the 500 Free versus Purdue … joined the 200 Free Relay team to clock in at 1:25.68, which was good for first at Cleveland State.

As a Sophomore: Team MVP … claimed BIG EAST titles in the 500 Free and the 1,650 Free with school-record times of 4:22.82 and 15:15.99, respectively … both of those times were NCAA “B” cuts … established the 500 Free school mark of 4:24.09 in the prelims at the conference meet and broke it again that evening … also owned the 1,650 Free mark prior to besting it … his 1,000-yard split of 9:14.25 from the 1,650 Free race was another University record … earned all-BIG EAST honors with a third-place finish in the 400 IM with a time of 3:54.93 … that mark ranks second in school history … finished the conference meet with 56 points, the third-highest point total of any male competitor and just four shy of the leader … notched 15 individual victories on the season, with six coming in the 1,650 Free … won both the 500 and 1,650 Free at the Notre Dame Invitational … had three sweeps of the 500 and 1,000 Free events in dual meet action (Texas A&M, No. 15 Purdue, Pittsburgh) … named to the BIG EAST Academic All-Star Team.
