AS A JUNIOR: Picked up a share of her first BIG EAST title during the outdoor season … posted both of her indoor season-best times at the Meyo Invitational … ran the 60 meters in 7.61 seconds to finish sixth and took 11th in the 200 meters in 24.99 … qualified for the BIG EAST indoor meet in both events … took tenth in the BIG EAST 60-meter preliminaries, coming through the line in 7.66 seconds … running outdoors at the Mike Poehlein Invitational, won both the 100 and 200 meters (12.34, 25.06) … clocked 24.57 in the 200-meter competition at the Azusa Pacific Invitational … went 11.99 for 100 meters at the Long Beach Invitational … just missed qualifying for the BIG EAST 100-meter final at the outdoor league meet, running 11.87 to finish ninth in the prelims … the time was a career best … also established a career best in the 200 meters at the league competition, taking 14th in the preliminaries with her time of 24.50 … ran with Okechi Ogbuokiri, Crysta Swayzer and Joanna Schultz in the 4×100-meter relay, winning the event in a time of 45.31 seconds … earned her first BIG EAST title and her second career all-BIG EAST honors while helping the team earn the league title … will be counted on heavily for her leadership and production in 2008, especially with the departure of Maryann Erigha and Okechi Ogbuokiri.
AS A SOPHOMORE: Earned a pair of BIG EAST qualifications during the indoor season … established her first BIG EAST mark early on at the Blue & Gold Invitational, running the 200 meters in 25.30 … added a 60-meter qualifier at the Notre Dame Opener, covering the distance in 7.81 … improved that mark twice at the Meyo Invitational, running 7.71 in the preliminaries and a season-best 7.67 in the final … ran 7.74 in the 60 meters to finish 12th at the BIG EAST Indoor Championship … scored points for the eventual team champions in the 4×400-meter relay with a sixth-place finish, competing in the event with Maryann Erigha, Okechi Ogbuokiri, and Nicole Yergler … had a strong showing outdoors at the Miami (Ohio) Invitational, setting a career best in the 200 meters with a time of 25.08, and posting a season-best time of 57.50 in the 400 meters … helped the 4×100 team of Erigha, Ogbuokiri and Domenique Manning win the event at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational (45.84) … ran a season-best 100-meter time of 12.06 at the Central Collegiate Championship and also helped the 4×100-meter relay team improve its time to 45.67 at the meet … closed out her season at the BIG EAST outdoor meet, taking fourth in the 4×100-meter relay.
AS A FRESHMAN: Immediately stepped in as one of Notre Dame[apos]s top sprinters … won the 200 meters at the Notre Dame Opener in 25.40 … topped the 200-meter field at the Notre Dame Invitational in 25.21 … performed very well at the Meyo Invitational, taking 11th in the 60 meters in a career-best 7.64 and seventh in the 200 meters in another career best of 24.73 … qualified for the BIG EAST indoor meet in the 60 and 200 meter dashes … placed seventh in the 60 meters with runs of 7.66 and 7.70 and scored another seventh-place finish in the 200 meters with times of 25.08 and 25.42 … concentrated on the 100 and 200 meters in the outdoor season … ran times of 12.07 and 25.20 at the Mike Poehlein Invitational … bettered her career-best mark in the 100 meters at the Hillsdale Gina Relays, running 12.01 for third place … qualified for two events at the BIG EAST Outdoor Championship … placed seventh in the 100 meters in 12.22 and 12th in the 200 meters in 25.32 … also competed in two relays at the league meet, earning all-BIG EAST honors in the 4×100-meter relay with teammates Maryann Erigha, Domenique Manning, and Okechi Ogbuokiri (46.46) … took sixth in the 4×400 meter relay with Erigha, Ogbuokiri and Crysta Swayzer.
HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL: Excellent track career at South Grand Prairie High School … eight-time letterwinner (track and cheerleading) … two-time All-American and all-state track & field performer … four-time all-city and all-conference athlete in track … regional champion in the 200 meters her junior and senior seasons … her team won the conference and regional championships three years straight from 2001-03 … clocked in a personal-best and school record time of 24.19 in the 200 meters at the 2004 Texas University Interscholastic League Region 1-5A Championships … 2004 National Scholar-Athlete Award recipient … 2004 National Achievement Award recipient … Dallas Morning News and Fort Worth Star-Telegram All-Area Track & Field first team in 2003 … team captain of the track squad her final two seasons … NCA All-American cheerleader for three years … enrolled in the College of Arts and Letters as a sociology major.
