Versatile team player who begins her fourth season with the Irish β¦ came back in 2006 after missing final 12 games of 2005 season due to knee surgery β¦ moved from midfield to attack and had career highs in goals, assists and points β¦ still adjusting to her role on attack as she is a midfielder at heart β¦ one of the team[apos]s leaders who leads by example β¦ had an outstanding fall season and will be a key contributor in 2007 β¦ smart, intelligent player who knows how to get open and work for a good shot β¦ catches well in tight spaces β¦ gifted scorer and playmaker β¦ has strong, accurate shot β¦ winner of Notre Dame[apos]s Christopher Zorich Award for her community service efforts β¦ serves as vice-president of Notre Dame[apos]s Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) β¦ outstanding student-athlete β¦ third team ESPN The Magazine/CoSida Academic All-American on the spring at-large team β¦ was selected to the IWLCA academic honor roll with a 3.70 grade-point average β¦ team[apos]s winner of the Notre Dame Club of St. Joseph Valley[apos]s Rockne Scholar-Athlete Award β¦ lone native of Colorado on the Irish roster β¦ selected to the Dean[apos]s List in the fall of `03 β¦ has played in 37 games in her career, scoring 31 goals with 13 assists for 44 points β¦ also has 41 ground balls, 22 draw controls and 22 caused turnovers.
AS A JUNIOR: Saw action in 17 games, making eight starts β¦ had career highs in goals (14), assists (9) and points (23) β¦ finished fifth on the team with 23 points β¦ scored 14 goals on 28 shots for a .500 shooting percentage β¦ had four ground balls, four draw controls and added two caused turnovers β¦ recorded four games with two or more goals and five games with two or more points β¦ opened the season with one goal in each of the games at California and Stanford, both Irish wins β¦ had all four of her draw controls for the season against Stanford β¦ scored twice and assisted on a third in the 18-6 home-opening win versus Ohio at the Loftus Center β¦ had back-to-back two-goal games versus Lehigh and James Madison β¦ scored two and assisted on a third in 20-4 win over Lehigh β¦ picked up season-high four-point game (2g, 2a), including the game-winning goal against James Madison in a 12-11 victory β¦ scored once in a 21-12 loss at Northwestern β¦ followed that with a season-high three goals in the 18-2 win against Canisius β¦ scored a goal and added an assist in the 13-6 win at Ohio State β¦ saved her biggest goal for the last one, scoring with 2.3 seconds left on the clock to give the Irish an 11-10 win over Syracuse β¦ had one assist versus Cornell in the NCAA opening-round win β¦ winner of Notre Dame[apos]s prestigious Christopher Zorich Award for community service work β¦ was a third-team ESPN The Magazine/CoSida Academic All-American on the spring at-large team β¦ selected to the IWLCA academic honor roll and was the team[apos]s winner of the Notre Dame Club of St. Joseph Valley[apos]s Rockne Scholar-Athlete Award following the season.
AS A SOPHOMORE: Played and started the first three games of the season before going down with a major knee injury β¦ got off to a fast start with six goals and one assist for seven points β¦ scored the six goals on just 10 shots for a .600 shooting percentage β¦ grabbed six ground balls, had five draw controls and caused five turnovers in those games β¦ opened the season with a career-best four-goal and four-draw-control game in a 16-10 win at Ohio University β¦ followed with a goal and an assist in an 18-11 home loss versus Northwestern β¦ caused a career-high four turnovers in that game at the Loftus Center β¦ scored one goal at Cornell on March 6 before suffering an injury to her right knee β¦ had surgery on the knee and missed the remainder of the season.
AS A FRESHMAN: Was eighth on the team in scoring with 11 goals and three assists for 14 points β¦ converted 11 of 26 shots for a .423 shooting percentage β¦ had 13 draw controls and 15 caused turnovers on the year β¦ scored goals in her first two games versus California and Stanford β¦ had career-high four-point game (3g, 1a) in 20-7 win over Cornell β¦ second multiple-goal game came with two goals in 13-8 win over Ohio University β¦ had 11 games with two or more ground balls, including career-high four versus Virginia Tech β¦ had career-best three caused turnovers versus Stanford and Virginia Tech β¦ recorded three draw controls versus Stanford and Ohio State.
