Stevens Wins 2025 Williams Cup Individual Title

WILMINGTON, N.C. — The University of Notre Dame men’s golf team concluded its fall slate with a dominant performance from senior Nate Stevens who was crowned the individual champion, including his third-career hole-in-one of college. The men’s team finished a plus-12 overall and an 876 stroke count for fifth overall.

Stevens’ closed out his fall season with a seven-under score, including a tournament-low 67(-5) score in round two which featured his hole-in-one on hole five, a par 3. The senior birdied hole six in the final round to secure his one-stroke lead and clinch the individual title which was his first of the season. He opened the tournament with a score of 70(-2) before his season-low five-under on Monday. He wrapped up the tournament with a day three even-par score to finish 209(-7) overall for the win.

Jacob Modleski also placed among the top-10 at the 2025 edition of the Williams Cup with a score of 215(-1). The junior recorded a 67(-5) score in the first round before tallying consecutive 74(+2) scores to round out the tournament with a seventh-place finish.

Sophomore Mike Qiu moved up the individual standings in the final round with a score of 74(+2) in round three to post an overall score of 224(+8). Qiu registered an even-par score on Day 1 of the tournament for a personal low on the week.

Calen Sanderson placed 68th overall with a final score of 229(+13). The senior posted a tournament-low score of 74(+2) in the opening round. Rocco Salvitti rounded out the tournament with a 75th-place finish and 234(+18) score.
