Access the new media player by

The University of Notre Dame’s official athletics website, www.und.com, has launched an updated media player for its free coverage site Fighting Irish All-Access. Developed by CBS College Sports Online, the new media player utilizes Microsoft’s Silverlight technology, providing access across all web browsers and computer platforms.

Users of Fighting Irish All-Access will no longer be restricted to specific browsers or operating systems to view und.com’s video content. Those that do not have Silverlight on their computers, which was utilized by NBC during its Olympic internet coverage in Beijing, will be required to perform a quick one-time download of the player before accessing the new video player.

The technological step forward is in stride with und.com’s increased video coverage this fall. In just the first 17 days of full production, the und.com video crew – which is part of Notre Dame Sports Properties – produced over 100 videos focused on Notre Dame Athletics.

The new media player also offers an improved search engine, which allows users to quickly locate videos they are interested in. Fans can search by sport, type of video and date to easily navigate the newest content and the vast archive of video stored on und.com.

The und.com video crew is also launching their new Fighting Irish All-Access Video Blog. This page will be updated several times per day, highlighted the latest video content on und.com, alerting our fans to upcoming projects we are working on and providing answers to questions about und.com’s video content delivered through the website’s feedback system.
