CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Notre Dame distance runner Drew Griffith was named as the Atlantic Coast Conference Indoor Men’s Track Freshman of the Week as announced by the ACC office on Tuesday afternoon.
A native of Malvern, Pennsylvania, Griffith turned in a one mile time of 4:00.58 at the Alex Wilson Invitational for a new personal record over the weekend. His time is tied for the second-fastest indoor mile time by a freshman in the ACC this year and is tied for 26th overall among all ACC men in the mile to-date.
An ACC Freshman of the Week in cross country in the fall, it is the first ACC Indoor Freshman of the Week recognition of his track career.
